Analyst Ben Andoni has commented on the clashes in the Parliament of Albania between the majority and the opposition. He said that it seems as if the apathy that characterized the work of the parliament has been broken.
Andoni said that in a few weeks we have the 2025 budget, which seems to be approved the same as the 2024 budget that passed the session for 8 minutes.
"People expect standards, people need to hear what will be done, how the public money will be divided", Andoni told "News24".
Regarding the burning of the chairs, Andoni said that it seems as if they are burning not just the chairs of some deputies, but our chairs, since those chairs represent the citizens, those who have supported them.
He emphasized that the opposition is faced with the very great cynicism of the government.
"Albanians need to be enlightened, as apathy is too great", said Andoni.
Regarding the October 7 protest, he said that there will be no surprises.
"Don't expect anything big. The DP held large protests and the next day nothing happened. While Edi Rama makes international trips, next week he is at the Berlin Summit, while the opposition says wait another week. Albanians are not stupid, the opposition and Rama must understand this. Albanians will boycott a lot in 2025" , said Andoni.
