Embassy sends safety message to its citizens...
The United States Embassy in Tirana has reacted for the first time since the start of the civic protests, which have continued for more than a month in the capital.
In a "Security Alert" published on its official website, the US Embassy calls on American citizens in Albania to exercise caution, warning that the protests in Tirana continue and may spread to other cities.
According to the announcement, attention is focused on the "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, in the segment from "Skënderbej" Square to "Mother Teresa" Square, including the area in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where daily rallies have been taking place for 33 days.
The embassy emphasizes that, although protests often begin peacefully, the situation can change rapidly.

American citizens are also warned of increased security measures and traffic problems.
" There may be an increased police presence, roadblocks, traffic diversions, and traffic difficulties during the hours before and during the protests. If you are in a protest area, it is recommended to exercise extreme caution and follow the instructions of local authorities ," the US Embassy announces.
This is the first public reaction of the US Embassy regarding the protests that have been taking place for more than a month in Tirana, while the rallies have already entered their 33rd day and the organizers have warned that the actions will continue in the coming days.
