The Administrative Court decided to suspend the competition for leadership in the State Police, opened in early November. "TCH" journalist Anila Hoxha, who closely followed the process, reports that the decision was made following a lawsuit by Aida Hajnaj, who addressed the administrative court in Tirana after her mandate as director of the BKH ended.
The law at the time she left office to take the position of head of the BKH stated that she could return to her previous position as leader, but nothing like that happened.
Under these conditions, Hajnaj requested administrative protection for the lawsuit and freezing of the competition for leadership in the State Police until her request for return as a leader in the Police is resolved.
She seeks to return to the police as deputy general director, or department director, but with recent changes made to the law, any prosecutor who intends to take such a position must enter the competition in order to take the job.
The competition for "Department Director in the State Police" opened in October, while the application phase closed on November 11 of this year, but the process has been suspended following the decision of the Administrative Court.
