Following Prime Minister Rama's arrival in Vlora and his strong statements about freeing up public spaces, a similar action has begun in the city of Durrës.
Municipal Police officers were seen on "Epidamn" Boulevard, where they intervened to free public spaces occupied by private entities carrying out commercial activities.
During the action, some of the tables, chairs, and umbrellas that businesses had placed on the sidewalks were removed.
This operation aims to restore public spaces to the availability of citizens and tourists and appears to come as a continuation of the directives given by Prime Minister Rama a few days ago in Vlora.
We recall that during the visit, Rama demanded the resignation of all municipality directors, considering them responsible for the situation created in the coastal city.
So far, there has been no official reaction from representatives of the Municipality of Durrës, but official sources indicate that the action will continue in other areas of the city.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rama has demolished the tourist village, removing 10 cabins and 2 other buildings, which he says were illegal construction. While sharing a photo from the IMT action, Rama wrote that all the cabins of the "tourist village" of the criminal who injured Theth will be taken by the state.
