Journalist Taulant Kopliku says that Emanuela Daci is among the most radicalized people in the Al-Hol camp in Syria. He made this assessment public during a television show, where he spoke about the situation of some Albanian women still in the camp.
According to him, there are four Albanian girls in Al-Hol, including the three Shuli sisters, for whom there is still no confirmation whether they will return to Albania. He also mentioned Emanuela, the wife of Almir Daci, who lost her life in the fighting.
Kopliku said that from the information he has and from a colleague's communications with Daci, she displays strong radical attitudes and uses harsh language. He added that there are suspicions that she has exerted influence on Eva Dumani to prevent her from leaving the camp, including through forms of pressure.
"There are 4 girls. There are the three Shuli sisters, who I still have no information about whether they are on their way back or not, there is also Emanuela Daci, the wife of the imam Almir Daci, who was killed in the fighting. From the information that I have and from the communications with my colleague Kasapi, who had communications with this person via text messages, this is one of the most dangerous and radicalized people in the Al Hol camp. The investigations will also reveal it, Eva will speak to the authorities, but it is thought that she also violently influenced Eva Dumani to keep her in the camp. It is thought that it was the fear of this woman that has managed to control and manipulate some of the girls in the camp. From the communications that I have had with my colleague Kasapi, she has constantly been very harsh in her language. I have the impression that this, even from the conversations that I have had with people there, this was known, so it was in the circle", Kopliku told A2 CNN.
Eva Dumani was recently repatriated to Albania after several years in the camp. According to the journalist, authorities are expected to take her statements to clarify the circumstances and the role of other people in the camp.
