Albanian pensioners living in Italy have risen in protest for the slowing down of the procedures for the recognition of pensions.
The pensioners protest in front of the Italian embassy in Tirana, and then they will go to the prime minister.
"We live on 15,000 ALL and we live in difficult conditions. I have been in Italy for 32 years and there I have noticed humanity for everyone. The question I ask myself is Melon what is it? One signature is enough and it's over," said the pensioner.
One protester said that he had made an important contribution to Italy after having worked in that country for 30 years.
"I have been working in Italy for 30 years and I have made an important contribution to that country. It's up to me, I have to climb the stairs to make a living. I want the Albanian and Italian contributions, I want my dignity and my sweat.
We want the sweat, the work, You can be sure that we will take our voice to the Italian parliament. Do I have the right to vote in Italy but not in Albania? Yes, it's a shame! You don't want more, because you buy them here, we don't buy them. We want sweat, we are here only for the pensions here," said one protester.
Another citizen says that the social contributions of Albanians who have worked in Italy are not transferred to their accounts, which is shameful because it is impossible to live with only a partial pension in Albania.
"They gave me a pension of 10,000 lek, while they increased their salaries. It's a shame bro. We are discriminated by our country in the first place and by foreign policies. I am Fatmir Shkoza. I live in Germany with my children now, it hurts me that I can't live here," declared the pensioner.
