Prosecutor Ols Dado stated that Veliaj insulted him in front of the judicial officer who went to hand over the documents, saying, among other things, that he destroyed his family, and that "I do not forgive the two abortions of my children."
Today's session at the Criminal Court of Kosovo (CCKKO) for the file of Erion Veliaj and 29 other defendants was accompanied by debates, and the session was postponed.
After the announcement of the postponement of the hearing, Erion Veliaj's lawyer, former SP MP Plarent Ndrecaj, stated that his client was not familiar with the documents and that he requests that the files be taken into inventory.
Top Channel journalist Anila Hoxha reports that SPAK has stated that Veliaj was given the documents but he refused them, and that they are now in a room at the Durrës Penitentiary Institution.

At the end of the session, the Court stated that it considers that the inventory and listing process is unnecessary, so the files are there and the next session regarding this matter will be held on Wednesday, April 1.

Plarent Ndreca: The fact is that my client has not been familiar with the acts. There are many materials. The only request is that we take them with an inventory. My request is that I was at the institution, present, it is an essential process and the prosecution has the responsibility to make the files with the inventory available and to take them as they should be taken. Not by measuring the files but to count each sheet and to be with the client
Court: The accused are in a prison environment
Plarec Ndreca: Yes, and they were not taken because they should be taken according to law and regulations. My client has requested to be familiar with the acts, because I have not been familiarized either, the only request is that we take them with an inventory, because we cannot take them that way. The prosecution has an obligation to make an inventory and take the acts as they should be, not with file numbers.

Plarent Ndreca: Instruct the prosecutor or the OPGJ to make an inventory of the acts in my presence and that of my client, not in the manner in which they were provided.
Prosecutor Ols Dado: I want to start from the statement of the lawyer who said that the acts were given "Opshe" there is no such situation. The OPGJ went to the Durrës Penitentiary, they contacted Erion Veliaj, who in the first moments showed objectionable behavior, with unethical behavior. Veliaj had objectionable and insulting behavior during the delivery of the acts. The officer says that he insulted the prosecutor Ols Dado that day, saying 'this prosecutor is one of the richest'. The officer then contacted the leaders of the Durrës Penitentiary, the officers began to explain to Veliaj why they were there, he spoke with offensive words, accused him of destroying my family. He addressed the investigator saying 'this scum has destroyed my family, I will not forgive him for the abortion of my two children'. We believe that Veliaj was made aware of the files by his lawyers in July 2025, and yet the court decided to give them to him in prison. Now it turns out that the defendant is requesting them through an inventory.
Plarent Ndreca: The defendant is not told to take us where you want, so I said "Opshe". They went without notifying the defendant, without notifying the defense attorney appointed by the court, and they went to the cell. The prosecutor must understand that when a person has been in prison for a year, he will definitely have emotions that when faced with this arrogant behavior, he will have his reaction. The court has decided to acquaint him with the acts, but if acquainting him with the acts is simply to leave them on the table, no, we want them with an inventory. If we want to acquaint ourselves with the acts and for an efficient defense, we have our constitutional right to defend ourselves and in order to do this, it should not happen that the acts are kept and then given without a record. We are asking for the most basic thing, we are asking for acquainting ourselves with the acts in an efficient manner
