Mayor Erion Veliaj's lawsuit in the Administrative Court against the appointment of Olsi Dado as Prosecutor in 2008 must be completed, and the Court set May 8 for the next hearing. The Mayor has 20 days to complete the lawsuit, otherwise it will be null and void and the case will be closed.
Today's session, which is considered preliminary, lasted about 1 hour, but it was accompanied by controversy and debate, and in one case there was even a joke from the Mayor, who was brought to the attention of the Court.
In his lawsuit addressed to the Administrative Court, Veliaj requests the declaration of the 2008 decree, at a time when Bamir Topi held the position of President of Albania, regarding the appointment of Olsi Dado as prosecutor, as invalid.
Dado was not present in the courtroom, as he was represented by lawyer Erarbër Madhi.
Also present at the hearing were the representative of the Presidency, Sara Bërdullima, and the representative of the KLP, Danja Hobdari.

Olsi Dado's lawyer: The court should not accept the lawsuit, as the plaintiff has no legitimate interest in challenging an individual act. This act has not produced any effect for the plaintiff or for the Municipality of Tirana, as there was another prosecutor in that case.

Court: You must settle the lawsuit, otherwise the lawsuit will be dismissed within 20 days. The court finds that there are elements of interlocutory proceedings, and you decide whether to summon the KLP as a defendant, but not as a third party.
