The submission of the self-declaration forms of the "Sky ECC" and "EncroChat" applications by the State Police has been completed. The completion of the form comes before the end of the deadline, which is January 5, 2024.

The Head of the State Police himself, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, said that no one from the police has admitted to having used Sky ECC or EncroChat even for work matters, thus leading to the failure of the police's self-cleaning, an initiative initiated by the Minister of the Interior, Taulant forehead

Rrumbullaku stated that, like the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, they have accurate information regarding the use of Sky ECC or EncroChat.

About 13,500 employees of the State Police, the Police Surveillance Agency and the Guard of the Republic have submitted to filling out this form.

In SPAK there are several files involving police officers who are either themselves in these applications, or are discussed about them.

On the other hand, the Special Prosecutor's Office is verifying the assets of some officials and former officials of the State Police, whose names appear in the recent SPAK operations. The investigators confirm that a property investigation is being carried out against Oltion Bistri, former director of the Operational Forces as well as former deputy director of the Police Erzen Breçani, who was arrested a few days ago.

In the same way, the property of the former police chief of Kurbin, Dritan Metaj, as well as the former chief of crimes in commissariat no. 6, Dedan Gjoni, is being verified. A financial investigation is also being carried out against the former head of crimes against the person in Shkodër, Ardit Hasanbega.

SPAK has also seized the assets of several other officials of the state police and local police, who appear in SKY's communications.

Letters have been forwarded to the latter, in order to obtain additional data that are expected to help the investigators.

It was the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, who approved the special order for all employees to self-declare if they have used the applications and to add details about the time and reason for use.

The order is part of the measures taken regarding the self-cleaning process of police structures and other dependent agencies.

In the meantime, any employee found to have used these applications will be immediately, definitively, dismissed from the State Police, the Police Surveillance Agency, or the Guard of the Republic.
