The State Police has undertaken a plan to ease traffic during weekends, limiting the movement of vehicles that slow down traffic.
The police announces that starting today, until 15.09.2023 during holidays and weekends there will be restrictions on the movement of heavy tonnage vehicles, agricultural vehicles with a speed of less than 40 km/h and vehicles that serve for transported school students.
It also informs the main axes where traffic will be stopped.
-Starting from today, until 15.09.2023, during weekends and holidays, there will be restrictions for all categories of road vehicles as follows:
• Road vehicles for transporting goods with an authorized total weight of over 7500 kg;
• Road vehicles with indivisible loads, with a maximum length greater than 12 m (transportation with abnormal vehicles or transport in abnormal conditions);
• Agricultural road vehicles that have a speed of less than 40 km/h;
• Road vehicles that exceed the border dimensions, according to article 61 of the Road Code;
• Road vehicles that serve the trainees of driving schools.
-Movement restrictions include the following axes:
• "PKK Muriqan-Shkodër" and vice versa; "PKK Hani i Hotit-Shkodër" and vice versa, "Bird Beach-Shkodër" and vice versa, "Shirokė Beach-Shkodër" and vice versa, "Velipoja Beach-Shkodër" and vice versa;
• "Shkodër-Lezhë", "Lezhë-Shëngjin", "Lezhë-Patok" and vice versa;
• "Durrës-Tirâne", "Durrës-Gjiri i Lalëzi", "Durrës-Currila", "Durrës-Kavajë", "Kavajë-Plažhi i Generalit", "Kavajë-Spille", "Kavajë-Kthesa e Divjaka-Lushnjë" and vice versa;
• "Lushnjë-Fier", "Fier-Seman", "Fier-Plazhet e Poros" and vice versa;
• "Vlora-Palace-Dërmi-Vuno-Himarë-Qeparo-Borsh-Bunec-Saranda" and vice versa;
• "Saranda-Butrint", "Elbasan-Pogradec", "Elbasan-Rrogozhinë" and vice versa;
• "Thane-Lin-Pogradec-Tushemisht" and vice versa;
• "Tepelen-Gjirokastër-Kakavije" and vice versa;
• "PKK Morinë-Kukës-Milot-Durrës-Lezhë" and vice versa;
• "PKK Qafë Morinë-Bajram Curri" and vice versa.
-These movement restrictions are foreseen on the following days and times:
• Friday, from 15:00 to 22:00;
• Saturday, from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 22:00;
• Sunday, from 07:00 to 22:00
