A foreign prosecutor will closely follow the process against Dritan Goxhaj, former member of the KLA, arrested in Tirana on behalf of the Special Court.

On September 9, the Court of Tirana put Dritan Goxhaj in prison again.

His lawyer Bashkim Nikolla asked for Goxhaj's immediate release because, according to him, the 40-day deadline has passed.

The Court of Tirana rejected the request arguing that it is unsupported by law and evidence. Meanwhile, the lawyer claims that no request for extradition has come from the requesting state.

Goxhaj is accused of committing the criminal offenses of "Intimidation during criminal proceedings" and "Obstructing an official in the performance of official duties", provided by the criminal legislation of the Republic of Kosovo.
