Lawyer Arben Llangozi, invited to the show "Të Pashoq" on the 'Pamfleti' YouTube channel, stated that the Special Prosecution Office, SPAK, has turned into a propaganda machine that manufactures more publicity than it does active work.
Llangozi further added that an office has been opened within the SPAK premises for journalists from all media outlets that speak in favor of SPAK, who, according to the lawyer, are used to spread the Special Prosecutor's Office's propaganda.
For the lawyer, this is unacceptable for the media to become a party to the prosecution or the court =, according to him, the media as the fourth estate must play its role in holding the Special Prosecution Office and all other institutions that abuse the power they have to account.
"So, we have a series of ministers who, instead of facing various measures, arrest measures and others, we see a failure of SPAK, which has done more propaganda, has been done with a press office that has more propaganda than it has a correct job. What is unfortunate, not you as the media, you are the most serious, most correct media that broadcast without censorship any kind of activity, whether pro-SPAK, because we cannot say that it has all the failures, but even when it should be criticized.
Let's not forget that an office has been opened in the SPAK premises for all journalists from all media, which in my opinion is terrible to think that the media would become a party to the prosecution and the court. The media should not only broadcast in real time, but also investigate and be critical when it needs to be. Something that the Albanian media, in my opinion, is unfortunate for the level it is at. Excluding the case of Pamflet, most other media remain a failure and are at the service of SPAK by manipulating public opinion and feeding the public that this institution is functioning. So, we have more of a facade just like the government... I see that SPAK is acting just like the government is acting. We see more painted facades. We see publicity, 4-5 arrest measures" , declared Llangozi.
