Lawyer Indrit Sefa has commented on the arrest of Ilir Beqaj. He said that this decision came only because of the arrogance shown by the former Minister of Health.

Sefa said that SPAK has launched investigations mainly for a simple reason: Beqaj was going to SPAK with Ermal Kurtulaj's car.

"This served as an indication, the investigation was started mainly because today we are in this situation", said Sefa. He added that SPAK conducted an investigation based on an indication, but that later resulted in the charges raised.

"We don't know what happened after the investigation started, they may have been placed under surveillance. In December 2023, their apartments were searched, we don't know what was found beyond what is known, amounts of money, etc., Sefa told News24.

He stated that the same prosecutor who signed the arrest warrant for Beqaj is the one investigating the "check up" file and a voluminous work has been done on this file, which is being completed.
