The chairman of Nisma Thurje, Endri Shabani, has stated that SPAK is in a daily struggle, stressing that it is noticed that these prosecutors duplicate cases. Shabani brought to attention the case of Saimir Tahir or even Ilir Beqaj, and this duplication occurs because in front of SPAK there are very powerful people who make every effort not to be punished.
"Ilir Beqaj is not the only one who stole EU funds, but he should be punished for the theft he did to the Albanians. All must be punished. Ilir Beqaj is a friend of Edi Rama, I am convinced that they stole together. Edi Rama is his main sponsor and at the moment he is arrested, even on the Prime Minister's birthday, and I think this is a case that proves that SPAK has the capacity to investigate the corruption of the Government", said Shabani to "News24".
He said it happens for the first time in 30 years that a character sponsored by the Prime Minister is arrested.
"This is a great achievement, such a thing has never happened before, for justice to arrest a person who was a friend or sponsored to the maximum extent by the Prime Minister," he said.
