This is Aldi Zyba, the BKH investigator, assigned to eavesdrop and follow Gent Ibrahimi, a member of the Constitutional Court, along with Holta Zaçaj, the president of this institution, along with Ylli Manjani, the former Minister of Justice, lawyer in the Pëllumb Gjoka case.
Aldi Zyba was appointed investigator at the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) in 2021, after a "career" that began in 2015 as a maintenance worker at the Tirana Tax Directorate, until May 2017, when he was appointed specialist in the Human Resources and Support Services Sector at the Property Treatment Agency (ATP), an institution under the Ministry of Justice. The Director General at the time of his appointment at the ATP was Sonila Qato.
During his time as a specialist at ATP, Aldi Zyba was also involved in electoral processes as a SP commissioner, together with his father, Aleks Zyba, a veteran military man with a military surveyor's profession.
It is unclear what criteria Aldi Zyba met to earn the right to be appointed 'Investigator' of the BKH, let alone be given such a delicate task as that of wiretapping the highest judges in the judicial pyramid, that of the Constitutional Court.
The BKH investigator was assigned to lead the environmental wiretapping operation of the members of the Constitutional Court, but he had to carry out this task together with officers from the “operational” unit of the Tirana Police Directorate. The group of 5 “detectives”, headed by Aldi Zyben, placed “bugs” in several premises where his targets were located. This collaboration seems to have been exposed on a delicate day of wiretapping, as the “victims” of this operation authorized by SPAK were informed.
