"Shooting the system", Dorian Matlija: SPAK cannot investigate GJKKO

Lawyer Dorian Matlija said on the Barometri show that Prime Minister Edi Rama's latest stance towards SPAK shows a lack of coherence, which Rama seeks to sell as coherence.

According to him, one of the defects of SPAK that also leads to the impasse with the GJKKO is that special judges are investigated by special prosecutors, intimidating them and turning judges into notaries for prosecutors.

" There is a big problem with SPAK, a major defect that we have been aware of since the establishment of these institutions."

The special judge cannot be investigated and tried by the special prosecutor, it is a system failure. This gives the prosecutor the power to eavesdrop on the judge and does not allow him to be independent, this is a court that is afraid, intimidated.

"These investigations should be conducted by the General Prosecutor's Office. The judges feel intimidated by the special prosecutor, so they have turned into notaries of the prosecutor's office ," he said.
