The government extends the stay of Ukrainians in Albania

The government decided today to extend the period of residence of Ukrainian citizens in Albania from 3 years to 4 years. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Council of Ministers.

In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and point 2, Article 29, of Law No. 79/2021, “On Foreigners”, upon the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers

1. In point 1, of decision no. 169, dated 18.3.2022, of the Council of Ministers, “On determining the term of entry and stay of citizens of Ukraine in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, the phrase “… 3 (three) years …” is replaced by “… 4 (four) years …”.

2. The Ministry of Interior and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs are responsible for the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force upon publication in the "Official Gazette"
