Analyst Arian Çani said that Prime Minister Edi Rama is using the Beleri case for his political agenda.
Çani said that the perception of Beler in the public opinion is that of an enemy of the people and that Rama has won many political points through his case. He added that Rama uses nationalism to worsen relations with Greece.
" For this country, Beleri is an enemy of the people, they hate him and cannot even hear his name. Today, Rama has gained many points politically, he has been gaining points for a year or so since he was captured and taken hostage without any evidence, but I say that the story is not over, now it begins. Beleri is the nail stuck in a wall, where Edi Rama has hung a big bag called nationalism and as far as I can see, he has an interest in our relations with Greece continuing to have problems, that is, to get worse ", he said when invited to the show Now with Erla Mëhilli.
Çani said that Rama gains prominence in the debate with Greece and uses the issue to gain the support of France and Germany. He added that Rama will not allow Beleri to go in July as a deputy, showing that Albania must be taken seriously. Greece has already increased the number of enemies, including Albania.
" Rama somehow gains prominence in this debate with Greece. I think that Rama will not only not allow him to go in July as a deputy and with this he is telling Greece and the French and the Germans to take Albania seriously because it is no longer what it used to be. For me it is a very interesting strategy because being the protagonist in a fight that he instigated himself, he gains the support of France and Germany. Now Greece has increased the number of enemies with Turkey as a permanent enemy, Macedonia recently and Albania and I think that this will encourage other actors in the game ", said Çani.
