The former mufti of Tirana, Ylli Gurra spoke about the creation of the sovereign Bektashi state. He said that the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan will never accept the creation of a Bektashi government in Albania.

When asked if Rama might have received approval for his idea in New York, where he met with Erdogan during the proceedings of the UN Assembly, Gurra said: "I don't think approval at all."
He also stated that the only example that can be followed for the creation of this state is Iran with a Shiite majority.
"If he did it simply to launch Albania in front of the world, OK we would give him a hand, but if he really tries to go to a Bektashi enclave, this is fatal. We have the example in Lebanon, and there have been over four decades of sectarian clashes, even within Islam, that is, the Shiites of Iran. Even if we're going, God forbid, I don't even wish for it, but I definitely don't think it's done. Even if it were to go towards the creation of an enclave, the first example that can be taken is only Iran. Iran, even the terms, for me they are so fake, the Islamic Republic of Iran, or where I know, but in the ideological aspect as an axis they are in this line.
