Investigative journalist Klodiana Lala said that on Wednesday former Prime Minister Berisha will have his first real confrontation with justice, where he will be informed of the closure of investigations by SPAK for the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex.
Invited to the show "The Unexposed", she said that there are three options for Berisha's case, which either goes to trial, or is reinstated, or is dismissed and it is a filter that he must pass.
" SPAK took him as a defendant and, according to the law, gave him a 10-day deadline. Today, the end of the investigation was communicated to Fatmir Bektashi, who was in SPAK accompanied by the lawyer. Mr. Berisha will be there on Wednesday.
At the moment when the end of the investigation is communicated, they have a ten-day deadline for complaints and the file goes to a preliminary hearing. The preliminary judge decides whether full investigations have been carried out.
This will be the confrontation of Berisha. Doctor Edvin Prifti was investigated for 4 years and the court sent him back for additional investigations, to say that they had not been clarified.
This is the first real battle of Mr. Berisha and other persons with Albanian justice. There it will be understood if it is a fabricated accusation and an attack as Berisha claims, or if the file has dough, evidence and facts to proceed to the trial.
There are three options, either it passes for trial, or it is reinstated, or it is dropped. It is a filter that Mr. Berisha must pass. Berisha must appear in person on Wednesday, the lawyer can also go ," said Lala.
