Analyst Andi Bushati has stated that Erion Veliaj cannot be detached from the investigation of the directors of Tirana Municipality, since the mayor has at least used the black money of corruption to be elected politically.
According to Bushati, SPAK will act only if there is a political order from Prime Minister Edi Rama. The analyst is of the opinion that Rama is forced to sacrifice someone, and to be at all credible, he must sacrifice Veliaj.
" There is a timid attempt to mention the mayor of Tirana, without a name. This timid effort does not lead you to have any high hopes. On the one hand, we can talk about Veliaj's criminal responsibility and on the other hand, his moral responsibility. Anyone who has read the file is convinced that Veliaj is inside. It's crazy to think that some directors get together, create a private company, and the money will pass there with fake competition. These have taken corruption to another stage. It is a galloping step towards unscrupulous theft. Veliaj is responsible that the profit of the money is invested in construction, hotels, with the permission of Veliaj and Rama, who also exempts them from taxes by declaring them strategic investors. They are a group of people who steal Albanians' taxes, become strategic investors, and when they want to invest they are also exempt from taxes. These people who are accused were the main electoral staff of Veliaj. All these abuses have served to re-elect Veliaj, therefore he cannot be detached ", he said in "MCN".
Bushti said that he is one of those who believe that SPAK acts on orders. According to him, the file must be asked why the defendant Veliaj should not be taken. But according to him, SPAK has no freedom of action, it acts only by order.
" Only if higher than Veliaj is given an order that 'Lali' should also be sold, it is sold. Veliaj is in the position that the more he makes excuses, the worse he can do to his position tomorrow. Self-interest wants him not to speak, and he is doing so. I have no evidence for what the opposition says, that Veliaj is the actual owner, in the sense that even Veliaj may not have shares there, even though we saw it in the file, that even the last workers knew that this is the company where Lali is also shareholder. But we know who has benefited from this company. These people have invested in throwing millions into Veliaj's campaign, buying voters and opposition leaders. It is of little importance whether Veliaj is a formal shareholder or not. Veliaj has used this black money corruption minimum to be elected politically. We still don't know if he took them under the pillow ," he said.
