Bad weather and heavy rainfall continue to cause major problems in most parts of the country. Heavy rainfall has increased the flow into the Çemerrica reservoir in the Lekas Unit of the Korça Municipality.
According to residents, the water level in the Marjan Hydropower Plant basin has reached a critical point, and there is a risk of the dam breaking.
Local authorities have instructed residents of the villages of Lekas, Xerje, Denas, Marjan, Gurrëmujas and Fshati i Ri to report any dangerous situations.
As can be seen from these images provided throughout the day until this evening, work is underway to clean the riverbed and reservoir.
