The bad weather has once again covered all of Albania since the early hours of the morning today.
Due to heavy rains, Tirana is paralyzed by heavy vehicle traffic. The difficulties have increased even more due to the presence of water in many axes and intersections.
Almost in the entire city, the roads were blocked, while the vehicles, despite the commitment of the police, remained in traffic for several hours.
Heavy traffic was in all directions of the middle ring, but also in the Great Ring, in Don Bosko, on the Kombinat-Kinostudio road, in New Tirana, on the Dibra road, in the entering and exiting segment from Tirana, the road "Dritan Hoxha".
In the early hours of the morning, the Lana River burst its banks, flooding both ring roads and paralyzing traffic on these roads.
But with the decrease in the intensity of the rainfall, the river retreated back to its bed.
Emergency teams are on the ground to monitor the situation. While it is expected that the weather conditions will improve in the following hours, and according to the authorities, even though the level of flows in the river has increased, there is no risk of overflowing.
