Vlora has been hit by heavy rainfall, which began on Tuesday afternoon and caused flooding in several urban areas.
According to the official announcement of the Municipality of Vlora, the water level on the road has increased significantly, preventing the normal circulation of vehicles and pedestrians.
Local authorities have declared a state of emergency and have activated the structures responsible for managing the situation.

The most affected areas include: the “Skelë” neighborhood (near the main intersection), near the public library, around the Orthodox Church and “Albano & Romina” square. In some road segments, vehicles are blocked due to high water flows, while emergency services have begun work to clean the manholes and restore traffic.

Also, the heavy rainfall that fell on Tuesday afternoon in the city of Vlora led to the immediate emptying of the Lungomare coastline, on one of the days that usually sees a high influx of vacationers.
