Residents affected by the Qukës-Qafë Plloç road face the horror of the road every day, as there are 2.9 kilometers that were started in 2009 and have not yet been completed.
The show "Fol" stopped in Përrenjas, in the area where this road segment starts, which can only be passed by a strong off-road vehicle, as the others remain on the track.
The residents of this area have come out in protest, as their patience has run out, while this road can no longer be called a road.
"It has become a disaster, with dust and mud in the winter. A kindergarten child fell into the pit, he drowned, his friends caught him", said a resident to the microphone of MCN TV.
Another says that the road has become a big disaster and that here they don't ask questions, but only come to vote.
" They lie to people with a 25-kilogram bag of flour. The road is in place. If Taulant Balla wanted it, this road would have been built. Taulanti is the first to do this work, who has buried this road. The company "Salillari" is responsible he started to build this road. Only in this segment we have remained for 3 kilometers, as far as where we are. We ask for help only with the media, because we have nothing, no communication with the state , "he said.
Another resident says that there are over ten villages that cross this road, which has become impassable.
" We accompany the children, to take them to and from school. If this road had been fixed, a bus or van could be used and the residents would pay for it. This is a beautiful area, but the country is being depopulated. The Shkumbin Valley. They are taken inert from the river Shkumbin. Many species of the river have disappeared from the interventions. Children with wet and muddy feet, stay 6 hours in class. When it rains, we take the children by the arm and take them to school , "he declared.
The other resident said that the company that made the first tear has left, without closing the road.
" The last hope was in Taulant Balla, it didn't happen. The one who will build this road, I believe will get the name and the road. Why is this 3 kilometer road not built? ", said the resident.
The neighborhood administrator added that in addition to the road not being built, the lands of the residents, who did not receive the compensation money, were also damaged.
" There are complaints about why they are not compensated. We have not received anything. I had 6 dynym of land, they took it from me and I have not received anything. We took the letters, but they tell us, go away, we will bring them back. I have the photos that cut my corn, trees , even Serbia wouldn't do it without closing the loop. He cut my signature with a chainsaw ," he declared.
The driver of a bus that stopped during the show said that he encounters a lot of difficulties on the road, which he does twice a day: ""Once a week, the car breaks down, it breaks down very badly. It's just that I take the teachers to a village up there every day."
Another resident said that from time to time they throw aggregates, but the road breaks again after the rain takes it again.
We have a very big economic loss, we are all peasants, we produce. Where will we take it, where will we take it out? Everything is produced here, everything is organic, where to take it. We have no way to bring the product to the market. We drive 50 kilometers to avoid the road, because we get stuck in the pit. We have a lot of problems, but this is the problem ," he said.
Another concern for residents are the power lines which date back to the 60s.
" The clothes are washed by hand, the washing machines are kept for decoration. The lights go out with a drizzle of rain, or the wind blows. We will be without lights for a week, we will take Elbasan ", the resident complained.
