The United States Embassy in Tirana has issued a clear and firm notice to Albanian citizens traveling to the United States on a temporary visa. It requires strict adherence to the permitted period of stay in American territory, according to the official entry document (I-94).
" Respect the terms of your U.S. visa and the permitted period of stay in the United States. Overstaying beyond the 'Date of Admission to…' may lead to serious consequences such as visa revocation, possible deportation, and the inability to obtain visas in the future ," the Embassy statement said.
According to American authorities, any overstay beyond the legally established period constitutes a direct violation of immigration rules and negatively affects any future attempts to enter the US, whether for work, study, or travel.
Meanwhile, Albania has been officially added to the list of 75 countries for which immigration visas have been temporarily suspended, as part of a broader review of permanent immigration policies by the US Department of State. This does not affect tourist or student visas, but is a wake-up call about the way immigration from Albania to the US is being managed.
