US warns of wave of "non grata", Rubio introduces new visa restriction

US targets traffickers and their families; visa blocks for anyone rumored to be involved in drug trafficking...

Criminal groups, those under investigation, convicted criminals, or those suspected of being involved in drug trafficking, should not forget that they can trespass in the United States of America.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio today introduced the new visa restriction policy, a policy also announced by the US Embassy in Tirana. Which means that it will also affect our country.

According to Rubio's announcement, there is a massive increase in drug use in the US and the number of overdose deaths is increasing alarmingly. Therefore, he has announced a new visa policy.

The fentanyl crisis in the United States is unprecedented, with overdoses remaining the leading cause of death for Americans ages 18 to 44. More than 40 percent of Americans reportedly know someone who has died from an opioid overdose, and by 2024 the United States was expected to experience an average of over 220 overdose deaths each day. Today, I am announcing a new visa restriction policy under section 212(a)(3)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act that will apply to family members and close personal and business associates of individuals sanctioned under Executive Order 14059, Imposing Sanctions on Foreign Persons Engaged in the Global Illicit Drug Trafficking (EO 14059) ,” said the Secretary of State.

According to Rubio, there will be visa bans for traffickers, their family members, as well as sanctions on the businesses they own.

Today’s action expands existing tools, including sanctions under EO 14059 and visa inadmissibility under section 212(a)(2)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, for traffickers of controlled substances. Imposing visa restrictions on drug traffickers, their family members, and close personal and business associates will not only prevent them from entering the United States, but will serve as a deterrent to the continuation of their illegal activities ,” he continued.

According to him, the US State Department will use all necessary means to disrupt and dismantle the flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs entering the United States and harming American citizens.

This act will undoubtedly affect many individuals in our country. The DEA has been operating for a long time and we all remember its announcements, where it asked citizens to report to its toll-free number anyone suspected of being involved in trafficking. There have been many reports on that number made available and there will be many of those who will not be allowed to enter the US, even though they may not have been convicted or investigated here. /Pamphlet
