The meeting of the Academic Senate of Shkodra between professor Gaspër Kokaj and rector Tonin Gjuraj has ended with debates and accusations.
At the start of the next meeting of the UNISHK Academic Senate, Rector Tonin Gjuraj spoke about the issues that would be part of the agenda and discussion.
While Gjuraj was speaking to the media, the third item on the agenda - the partial elections at UNISHK, sparked a reaction from Senate member Gasper Kokaj.
Kokaj interrupted the rector's press conference, accusing Gjuraj of holding hostage the conduct of the by-elections.
Meanwhile, Rector Gjuraj reminded Kokaj of the problems with the law and regulations, while the latter called him "a liar" regarding the conduct of elections at this faculty in previous years.
Kokaj also addressed Gjuraj, telling him that he does not know the history of Juridik or UNISHK.
"Why should you deal with what previous rectors have done ?" he said.
This debate in the presence of the media lasted about 5 minutes, while at the end of his speech, Rector Gjuraj asked the media to continue the meeting of the Academic Senate.
ShkodraWeb sources indicate that the debate continued during the Academic Senate meeting, turning personal, this time without the presence of the media.
