Authorities have sounded the alarm about a new fraud scheme being used online.
A page on Facebook called "Posta Shqiptare" was opened on Tuesday, September 18, and the first post shows a super offer to citizens, but which, in fact, turns out to be one of the biggest frauds, which has recently been circulating in Albania.
The people behind this page advertise some closed cardboard boxes with the inscription "Albanian Post", stating that they are packages of orders that for various reasons have remained in the post warehouses without going to their destination. In order to spread it as widely as possible, the hackers sponsored the site so that it could be distributed to as many Facebook users as possible.
" Every year, the Albanian Post collects abandoned packages. According to the rules, the Albanian Post can manage these unaccepted deliveries. But now it presents unexpected discoveries for only 236 LEK. When you open these packages, be prepared to find a diverse range of objects, from electronics to household items, and perhaps even unexpected accessories or gifts ," it said.
But it's all a scam as they take identity details and money from the victims. Ppsta itself has reacted by denying that it has put such packages on sale.
