Journalist Ferdinand Dervishi stated in the podcast "Te Pashoq" on Pamphlet's YouTube channel, he stated that the Albanian government has been collaborating with crime since 2013.
Dervishi said that this is proven by the tenders which, according to him, in some cities seem to be taken by the strong.
Excerpt from the interview:
According to you, can it be said that it is now a fact that this government collaborates with crime?
Dervishi : Since 2013. In my opinion, with a pencil plan, since 2013 because we currently see in different cities of the country, where they are more readable and simpler than to whom the public tenders go. When the mayor doesn't give it to him, the strong man goes to his office and sticks a stick in it. This is what we are seeing. We see and it is obvious. A state official was caught and put in SPAK prison because she had taken the part of the bribe, corruption, in the amount of 300 or so thousand euros, which is 30-40 percent, in a tender of around 900 thousand euros. Then what happens, in districts this figure is 50 percent. So if a businessman takes to do a public work, in the districts it goes up to 50 percent, the deputy or the person who controls him says give me 50 percent and go do that construction. Is that project being built with half the figure? It is not done. What happens is a strong person takes it because others see that there is no profit in that tender and what does the strong person do, he tells x known person who sells bricks to give him the bricks for free and gives it to him, and the other one gives it to him for free, and so on. So after he finishes, he has very little profit left and he sees that he has no money to pay those businesses that helped him and they remain unpaid, so the fight comes in due to corruption.
