Albanians flock to the beach for Eid, traffic jams in Fushë-Milot

Again traffic, again chaos, and again no solution. The Eid al-Adha holiday found Albania in the same predicament as every year: total road blockage. From 3:00 PM, long lines of vehicles formed at the entrances to Lezha, with hundreds of citizens aiming for the coast, but ended up in endless lines in the heat and nerves.

The Lezhë–Laç segment was one of the most critical points, while the Fushë-Milot area turned into a road hell. This segment, where the National Road connects to the Lezhë–Laç expressway, has become a symbol of the failure of urban planning: high vehicle presence, lack of signage, and incompetent management by the road authorities.

Millions of euros have been spent on roads, but citizens continue to be treated like cannon fodder in traffic. The Milot-Lezha national road has three lanes, but when it connects to the Tirana-Durres highway, it turns into a "funnel" where only one car can pass. The result? Hours of waiting and exhaustion.

The situation is no better in Elbasan, where the bypass continues to enter a segment that is once again blocked, showing that even recent investments have not brought a real solution.
