The deadline for applications for the position of the new director of the National Bureau of Investigation ends today. According to reports, 4 candidates have been submitted to date for this important position.
Euronews Albania learns that one of the candidates is the former director general of the State Police, Gledis Nano.
After going through several testing phases, the commission established at SPAK is expected to send the name of the selected candidate for appointment as the new head of the BKH to the High Prosecutorial Council. The mandate of the head of the Bureau is five years.
The position of head of the BKH has been held by Aida Hajnaj, who will remain in this position until August 31.
The selection committee for the head of the BKH consists of the SPAK Chief Prosecutor, Altin Dumani, and prosecutors Arben Kraja and Behar Dibra.
