"The slap came from the USA", warns Artan Hoxha: SPAK will hit the

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is under investigation for the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex, while he is accused of passive corruption.

Invited to "Top Talk", the journalist of the chronicle Artan Hoxha has stated that the situation in which the head of Reestablishment is currently found is a consequence of the decision of the US Department of State to declare him 'non grata'.

According to Hoxha, based on previous precedents, there are two ways the USA works; hit directly or dry up the resources. The journalist emphasized that when Berisha was declared 'non grata' for undermining democracy and involvement in corrupt affairs, it was the first warning to withdraw. The fact that the former prime minister decided to face it by not taking steps, brought another consequence, which is the 'drying up of resources' that finance his campaigns; family members.

" I think that SPAK's next step will be to hit the entire neighborhood of Berisha and the money that finances Berisha's activity. At this moment, Berisha only has to decide what he will do with the decision that the court communicated to him about the obligation to present and hand over the passport in order not to allow movement outside the territory of Albania", he said .

Excerpts from the conversation:

- Are these SPAK investigations, this decision taken, related to the 'non grata' of Sali Berisha from the USA because if we keep in mind, one of the accusations made was favoritism in corruption?

Berisha has two main accusations from the decisions of the US Department of State; firstly, for undermining democracy in the country and secondly, involved in corrupt affairs.

Now if we look at it as a fable, including how the US has acted before for similar cases, they have two ways; or hit directly, or dry up the resources. In this particular case, they gave Berisha 'non grata' in order for him to leave and retire. Berisha did the opposite, decided to confront, so they took the second step of 'draining the resources'.

I think that SPAK's next step will be to hit the entire immediate area of Berisha and the money that finances Berisha's activity.

Always, this is what I think based on what information I have or the procedure followed during the last years in SPAK, based also on the contacts I have had or the cases when I myself went to the Special Prosecutor's Office to provide information as a person on data that I had, because I can't be 100% sure.

The Americans hit you directly first, and if you decide to confront them, they drain your resources. To dry the trunk, they decided to cut the roots. But who are the roots in this case? If you block 5.4 million euros and continue to ask for the money from other family members of Berisha's close circle, then you practically leave him as an ordinary citizen. It turns him into a man who cannot face and finance such a campaign, a campaign that aims more than to clarify the bodies of justice. He intends to keep his supporters, his militants, and create an extralegal situation to avoid a confrontation with justice.

At this moment, Berisha only has to decide what he will do with the decision that the court communicated to him about the obligation to present and hand over the passport in order not to allow movement outside the territory of Albania.
