The prison arrest measure for the businessman, Pëllumb Gjoka, has been left in force, for which the latter had appealed to the Special Court for the replacement of the security measure.
Judge Atalanta Zeqiraj rejected the claims of Gjoka's lawyer, Ylli Manjani, for softening the measure.
Since July of last year, Gjoka has been in custody for some serious criminal charges, as part of the "Metamorphosis" operation.
Pëllumb Gjoka was arrested after the disclosure of communications in the encrypted application Sky ECC, where police officers, prosecutors and former prosecutors ended up in handcuffs.

Pëllumb Gjoka, 49 years old, is a businessman announced by the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama as a "strategic investor" with a project that planned to invest 52 million euros in a virgin area on the beach of Velipoja in Shkodër, in exchange for which, the state Albanian engaged taxpayers' resources to provide water supply, electricity, sewage and other public services. But an investigative file brought from France to Albanian justice led to Gjoka, owner of hotels in Shkodër and Tirana, being arrested as a key figure in an organized crime group, responsible for murder and ordering assassinations as well as active corruption of officials public.
Pëllumb Gjoka is the owner of several companies with activity in the field of investments in tourism and gambling, in addition to other businesses. But while the public authorities, including the Council of Ministers, were working feverishly at the service of the strategic investor, Gjoka is suspected of ordering murder.
He is currently charged with "Premeditated murder", committed as a special form of cooperation, that of a structured criminal group, "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group and criminal organization". According to the police announcement, this charge is related to the murder on August 9, 2020 of the citizen Gj. N. (B.). He is also accused of two cases of the criminal offense of "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder" as well as active corruption of the prosecutor.
The members of the group are accused of 12 criminal offenses, including murder, illegal deprivation of liberty, drug trafficking, money laundering, committed within the framework of the structured criminal group. While the arrested officials are accused of corruption, abuse of office and fake expertise.
