Former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj will be questioned again by SPAK regarding the investigation into the concession of sterilization of surgical equipment.
It is learned that Beqaj will be questioned about the trips he made to Italy and Vienna together with his former deputy Klodian Rrjepaj and the businessman Ilir Rrapaj who won the concession, both of whom have already been arrested. In addition to Beqaj, SPAK will 4 other former officials are also questioned. Interrogating them was the suggestion of GJKKO regarding the investigations.
It has not yet been decided when the former minister will be called to be re-questioned, as GJKKO directed SPAK to investigate his role.
A day ago, Ilir Beqaj himself reacted on social networks, who declared that sterilization raised Albanian surgery to another level and that he signed the concession contract for work needs.
But the former Minister of Health did not mention at all the lack of the original document of the sterilization concession contract, which SPAK is not finding.
Since August 17, former deputy minister Klodian Rjepaj and businessman Ilir Rrapaj have been arrested under security measures, while 6 others are under investigation under security measures of 'house arrest' or 'compulsion to appear'
