Forecasters predict that the heat wave that has engulfed our country will continue until Thursday.
Temperatures are expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius.
Meteorologist Lajda Porja said that the heat wave will last for a few days, while rain is expected from Friday.
"This heat wave is a wave which will be very short, so it started since the weekend, since Saturday. It is predicted that at least until Thursday, i.e. the first 3 days of this week, they will be under the influence of this wave. The heat wave has covered a good part of Southern Europe, but Albania is on its outskirts, which means Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will see temperatures as high as 40 degrees Celsius. The value of 40 can be exceeded very little, the value of 40.5 degrees Celsius can be recorded only in some isolated areas, Shkodra County, Elbasan and Berat County including some areas in Gjirokastër, Lazarati can record the highest values around the value of 40 or over 40.
Then the whole other area, i.e. the Western Lowlands, will fluctuate from 36 to 38 or 39 degrees Celsius. 37-38 will be the temperatures along the coastline, while the mountainous areas will be 34, it is predicted in the Korça District, and 36 will be Kukësi or Hasi.
However, starting from Thursday we will have withdrawal of the wave, it will be a drop of at least 3 or 4 degrees. Then, Thursday, Friday and the weekend will bring much more normal temperatures compared to these values that we will experience during these 3 days. The weather is expected to be stable until Friday. Meanwhile, Friday will bring rain", said forecaster Lajda Porja in an interview for Klan News.
