In the chain of KFC stores in Albania, chicken meat infected with salmonella bacteria was sold. This dangerous bacterium causes serious health symptoms, such as vomiting, headaches, chills and intestinal infections, putting at risk the health of hundreds of consumers, mostly young people who are the most frequent customers of this food chain.
According to the data, Albanian citizens have consumed an alarming amount of 1357 kg of contaminated meat, while KFC, instead of a serious and responsible reaction, has removed from its refrigerators only 177 kg, leaving the rest of the meat infected to be distributed among clients.
When "Ora News" officially approached the representatives of KFC in Albania to take a position on this scandal, the company chose silence, avoiding any response or public apology. Moreover, even on its official website, there is no statement to inform customers about the risk of consuming infected meat. This attitude shows a deep lack of transparency and respect for Albanian consumers, raising strong questions about the ethics of this international company.
