The Israeli ambassador in Tirana, Galit Peleg, has spoken about the relations that the world leader, Edmond Brahimaj, has with the Israelis. Baba Mondi even had a meeting with Israeli President Herzog, during his visit to Tirana, for which she revealed details.
Invited to the studio of the show 'Log.' of journalist Endri Xhafo in News24, Ambassador Peleg, clarifying the details, said that there was no meeting, but a handshake.
" We had a ceremony there, we invited the President to lay a wreath at the monument together with Mayor Veliaj, and we invited representatives of all religious communities, all religious communities in Albania to join us. And that was the only time he met her. He shook his hand, that's it, there was no meeting. It's a myth. And believe me, because I was with the President, for every second of his visit I was with him ," said the Israeli ambassador.

- You told me that you have an appreciation for him, but what do you think of great-grandfather Edmond Brahimaj, also known as Baba Mondi? Why does he have a special relationship with the Israelis to the point that even President Herzog met with him?
Ambassador GP: Since I did President Herzog's program and accompanied him from the moment he got off the plane until he left, I can tell you that President Herzog met with Baba Mondi at the Holocaust Memorial, along with representatives of all religious leaders. We had a ceremony there, we invited the President to lay a wreath at the monument together with Mayor Veliaj, and we invited representatives of all religious communities, all religious communities in Albania to join us.
