Lawyer Gentian Rumano speaking about the sexual video of the former mayor of Kukes, Safet Gjici, said that if it is proven that the demands of the woman appearing in the video have materialized, then Gjici risks up to 7 years in prison.
In an interview for the show "Open" on "News 24", he said that after the publication of the second part of the video today, the case takes another course, and the investigation is channeled into two criminal offenses, "abuse of duty" and "violation of equality in public tenders".
" The video broadcast last week directed us towards Article 105, for abuse of power, but with the videos published today, we turn to the criminal offense of abuse of power and violation of equality in public tenders.
We have to keep a reservation because the video is incomplete and does not constitute evidence according to the conditions defined by the code of criminal procedure, but it is an indication to lead to evidence.
This video, which will be seized by SPAK which is investigating, will have a reflection and verification on their part, if a tendering procedure has started. Because in the video, the girl asked Gjici to create the conditions for an environment she wanted to rent, and to search for a job.
No person can be punished only for the thoughts or ideas he has, because they must materialize in actions. If they have materialized then we have room to investigate. The punishment measures that could be at risk are up to 7 years for abuse of office. For erotic videos, there are no legal violations, but ethical ones ," he said.
Meanwhile, journalist Klodiana Lala said: I have no information if the Municipal Council has met to make the approval. The project had started to be implemented, but it has not been confirmed whether it has passed the Council.
