The scandals of the "One Albania" company are endless.
As Albania, like the rest of the world, faces rising fuel prices due to the situation in Iran, “One Albania” has taken the opportunity to increase the prices of its subscriber packages. Its justification is not the war, but an INSTAT report on inflation.
Postpaid subscribers have been sent messages with the following content: “ Dear Subscriber! ONE Albania informs you that with effect from May 1, 2026, it will adjust the tariffs for mobile services based on the average annual change in the consumer price index (CPI) published by the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), at a level of no more than 2.2% above the standard tariff of your tariff plan. This adjustment is carried out in accordance with the terms of the subscription contract. You can find the updated tariff of your tariff plan at this link https://rb.gy/uh8ixt. So, package prices will increase by 2.2% from May 1. Specifically, a package that costs 15,000 lek will increase by about 330 lek, going to 15,330 lek per month. Meanwhile, a package worth 20,000 lek will cost about 20,440 lek after the increase is applied. This means that subscribers will pay several hundred lek more each month, depending on the tariff plan they use.
On the official website, "One Albania" has published the new tariffs for each package.
This increase comes just days after service outages, where the company left customers without internet and service access for hours. Similar network problems have been reported for years, including frequent outages and difficulties using packages.
