A day earlier, on the orders of SPAK, BKH agents landed in a complex in the south of the country, where they conducted searches in the villas of two wanted businessmen, Ermal Beqiri and Ergys Agas.
The BKH operation is related to the criminal investigation that SPAK has launched against what it classifies as a criminal group operating within the AKSHI.
Journalist Klodiana Lala, revealing new details from this operation, announced to News24 that SPAK is also conducting a property investigation for these individuals and the former director of AKSHI, Mirlinda Karçanaj.
Lala announced that the inspections lasted 8 hours, while materials were taken from the inspected properties, which are expected to be verified by SPAK.
" Another villa that was in use by Ermal Beqiri has been subject to inspection, the villa is registered in the name of Mirlinda Karçanaj's parents, who had rented it to Ermal Beqiri. It could be a hidden asset and it could be a conflict of interest. Data and materials have been taken from this environment. Sources from SPAK indicate that inspections have been carried out in several apartments and villas, which could be hidden assets of suspected persons. The names of the persons who own the villas are kept top secret, so that third parties are not identified ," said Lala.
She further added that many companies and the assets of officials involved in this affair are being investigated and filtered.
SPAK is investigating 12 allegedly rigged tender procedures, with high values mainly related to the maintenance of servers of important state institutions. The investigations have revealed that the tender criteria were allegedly dictated by the participating companies, creating ground for guaranteed profits of millions of euros.
Businessman Ermal Beqiri, owner of the company "Soft & Solution", is under investigation. SPAK has ordered him to be held in prison. According to SPAK, Beqiri is suspected of having benefited from the contested proceedings in significant amounts. The GJKKO has also ordered another businessman, Ergys Agasi, who is also on the run.
