The Court of Special Appeal has approved the decision of the Special Court for the seizure of the electronic devices of the journalist, Elton Qyno.
Lawyer Dorian Matlija says that the court has made a decision contrary to the standards established by the High Court and the Strasbourg Court.
Matlija said that he will appeal to the Supreme Court, while disciplinary proceedings will be requested for the two judges of the Special and Appeal Court, who signed this decision.
The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of judge Daniela Shirka, today 06.01.2024, at 14:00, announced the decision on criminal case no. 195 act, date 29.12.2023 registration, registered on the appeal of the appellant EQ, with object: "Appeal against decision no. 501, dated 13.12.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, which has accepted the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, for seizure permission...", and decided:
1. Approval of decision no. 501, dated 13.12.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime.
2. Prohibition of the publication of this decision in reference to Article 103 of the Criminal Code.
