SPAK seized his property today; who is Prince Dobroshi, the Albanian drug lord
Prince Dobroshi

By order of SPAK, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime decided to seize some movable and immovable assets of Princ Dobroš and Olsi Syziu, as well as of the persons related to them.

Prince Dobroshi, a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, is currently being investigated by the law enforcement authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany, for the commission of the criminal offense "Illegal trafficking of narcotics within an organized criminal group", provided for by the criminal legislation of the Federal Republic of Germany.

But who is Prince Dobroshi?

Prince Dobroshi is known internationally as one of the persons with suspected criminal activity.

Dobroshi was convicted for involvement in drug trafficking, specifically heroin. For this and other crimes, Dobroš was banned from entering the countries of the European Union.

The 59-year-old from Peja started his 'career' at the end of the 80s in Germany, where he would end up like many other young people from Kosovo. However, it is believed that criminal activities in the trafficking of drugs - and, as it is suspected, weapons - began in the early 90s.

In 1993, he was caught in Norway and sentenced to 14 years in prison for heroin trafficking. In 1997, the Prince managed to spectacularly escape from prison, going to the Czech Republic where he is reported to have dominated the drug trade there.

Two years later, he was arrested again and sent to Norway. Czech authorities at the time reported that documentation found on Dobroš indicated that he was using drug money to buy weapons which were then sent to KLA men.

Dobroš from the Czechs had again surrendered to the Norwegians. When he was being taken to be interrogated, the minibus carrying the judges, defenders and lawyers had a serious accident in which three people were killed. Since then, Dobroshi has been named by Norwegian authorities as the country's most dangerous prisoner.

Surprisingly, he was then released for "good behavior" in January 2005. And after a while he would come to live in Kosovo. It is believed that he opened a betting shop and casino.

Dobroshi had been in the company of Arfan Qadeer Bhatti, who was arrested in Norway on charges that he had planned to carry out terrorist attacks on the Israeli and American embassies in Oslo, Norway.

Prince Dobroshi was previously heard of in 2019, four years ago. He would be arrested after being involved in a physical fight in his hometown, Peja.

What is his wealth?

According to the media in Kosovo, Dobroshi has registered three residential buildings in his hometown with the following values: 150 thousand euros, 45 and 13,965 euros.

"Peshkaqeni" in the same municipality also has registered five agricultural plots in Vitomerica and one forest plot in Brestovik i Peja.

Meanwhile, in Pristina there are three registered in the following values: 121,440 euros, 121 thousand and 4,224 euros.

The person wanted by the international authorities also has registered a plot in Upper Miradi in Fushë Kosovë.

"Peshkaqeni" also had an active business registered until June 9, 2022 under the name "Princi D SH.PK" with a registered capital of 5,000 euros and 100% of the shares.

Based on the business description, the main business activity was the recovery of classified materials.

Meanwhile, other activities included wholesale trade of coffee, tea, cocoa and spices, wholesale trade of textiles, wholesale trade of waste and scrap metal and non-specialized wholesale trade.
