Journalist Erl Murati says that Sali Berisha is morally and politically within his right to question the impartiality of the judge in his case, Irena Gjoka. But on the other hand, he declares that the former prime minister must respect the law and the institutions.
Invited this evening to the panel of the show "Open" on News24, Murati says that Gjoka was fired by Berisha, but has returned to duty and has also gone through the vetting process.
According to Erl Murat Berisha, as a former president and former prime minister, it is up to him to set an example in respecting the law and justice institutions.
" I believe that it is important that Berisha and the parties respect the law. I agree that Berisha questions the impartiality of the judge, but also respects the court's decisions. As far as I know, Mrs. Gjoka was reinstated by a former chairman of KLD, who is no longer alive today. the fact that it has returned to the system, and that it has passed the vetting, from a moral and political point of view, Berisha may have the right to question it, but from the legal point of view, he must respect the law. He seems to have it all with the justice system. It is up to Berisha, as former president and former prime minister, to set an example for the implementation of the law ," Murati said.
