After Rama's meeting with the Albanians of Athens, Mitsotakis attacked his nephew, the son of former Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis.
Kostas Bakoyannis recalled his visit about a year ago to Himare, sharing photos with Beler's son.
"On the eve of August 15, a year ago, I visited Himara! It was like a pilgrimage. The hospitality of the Himariots was exciting. Just before I got into the car to go back, I greeted a new family. Two parents with a child my young son's age. My mother said one word to me, 'don't forget us,'" he writes in this post.
As he did not leave without mentioning the Greek flags that had been raised during his visit to Himare, following the unprecedented provocations.
"I will not forget those people who cry with the Greek flag, who a few meters away from the border and in often unfavorable conditions, keep the flame of Hellenism alive, with their language, traditions, history, and spirit. We fought many battles together. Like Athens, but also with the leadership of the B40 network consisting of dozens of municipalities from 11 Balkan countries. Some things go beyond mayors and governments! Some things transcend factions and parties. They must unite us" , writes the former mayor of Athens.
Bakoyannis' comment could not be missed by Fredi Beleri. He said he was overjoyed to meet Beler's son, saying he has a heavy burden on his shoulders as he has returned to his father's voice.
"I was very happy when I met my friend Petros Beleris, Fred's son. A young man carrying a heavy burden on his shoulders as he turns to his father's voice. The voice of democracy that cannot be imprisoned. The voice of the citizens who are not silent, in the will of the people that is not falsified", concludes his comment on the photo posted on Instagram.
