MP Luan Baçi has again confirmed his acquaintance with Azgan Mërnica, the author who killed the policeman Novruz Cenalia in Fier, but also with his tribe.

"I do not deny that I know the Mërnica tribe and family. They are an honorable family, they are democrats, I don't deny it. As for what they wrote that he was part of the structured team for the vote, my photo is there in the village of Sulaj, where the young man lives, there were all those young people who wanted a photo with me and wanted to the name was also mentioned" , said Baçi for Report TV.
The democratic deputy does not regret at all the photo taken with Azgan Mërnica, accompanied by several other young people on April 3, 2021, while he also explained where it was taken.
"It is to be envied the media that found him. I have no regrets at all about that photo I took. The coincidence and bad luck of this young man led to a tragic end for another young police officer. I don't want to comment at all on where the photo came from, I wouldn't have any objection even if the media took it out. They have that duty" , emphasized Baçi.
Baçi has called the news that the killer of the police officer was an active participant in all the violent Reestablishment protests in front of Tirana City Hall a lie.
He has even requested that these baseless accusations be proven by publishing photos.
"The connection they make then, and even more so when I read that he was a participant in the violent PD protests, this is a lie. If she was sure she would talk to me. Those who say so take a photo and prove that it was. They should not use it and say that the DP had contingents in its party", added the democratic deputy.
