AMP has launched an investigation into 23-year-old police officer Dhurim Metko. Investigations are being carried out for a false report and his police recruitment, work results and his connections are also being verified.
This investigation is being carried out after today it was initially reported that there were gunshots in the city of Laçi, where the officer Metko was involved.
In fact, it turns out to be a report by a police officer made yesterday evening at the police station that during the night two masked and armed people came in front of him and that they fired firearms in the air.
The incident happened in Sanxhak, while there are two tracks for which the incident is being investigated.
The first lead is related to the police officer's testimony, and the second is suspected of staging the event by the officer.
In his testimony, the police officer says that he was disguised and that he did not manage to recognize them.
Meanwhile, in an official reaction, the blue uniforms say that at the scene, the investigative team has not found any evidence.
According to the officers, no shell casings, traces or other material evidence that could belong to the citizens reported by the police officer were found at the scene. Furthermore, the officers add that there is damage only to the vehicle of the 23-year-old man, who fired a gun from the inside.
