The situation became tense in CEAZ No. 87 in Vlora during the vote counting process, where several observers from different political parties clashed with the counters and the police. The cause of the clash was the disputes over a controversial vote and allegations of changes in the ballot stamps.
After the heated debate, the intervention of the security forces was requested, who instructed some of the observers to leave the first two rows of the hall, where the counting process was taking place. Some of them complied, while others refused and moved to the upper seats, continuing the debates with the police officers.
The incident is further evidence of the tensions that have accompanied the counting process in several areas, where party observers have repeatedly raised concerns about the administration and transparency of the votes. So far, no arrests have been reported, but the situation remains under observation by law enforcement and the Central Election Commission.
