Analyst Ermal Hasimja, invited to the podcast "TëPashoq", on the "Pamflet" YouTube channel, analyzed the results of the May 11 elections.
Speaking about the convincing victory of the Socialist Party, Hasimja said that the Socialists have perfected a patronage system which they combine with pressure on the administration, which gives them an advantage when they enter the elections.
Further, the analyst highlighted a paradox of the Albanian voter who, according to him, after voting for a party that has been in power for 12 years, the next day comes out and says that he does not live in Albania and that he will raise his children abroad.
" They voted for him because he has power and they distributed this power. That is, you never had as much pressure in the state administration as you have today, add here the patronage system, etc., etc. And in the public administration alone there are 191 thousand. Now during the campaign there could have been almost 200 thousand. 200 thousand people multiplied by 4 each in their families because it will be mom, dad, father-in-law, mother-in-law, etc. you get at least 800 thousand votes. The wonder is why the SP did not get more. From this moment on you start the election campaign with the draw in your pocket.
Then he added a whole army of nostalgics, etc. There are those who come out and say that there were some who remember the time of Enver and say, leave us without electricity and bread, we will not change. There are also those whom the government has tried to spoil. If you add all this up, you understand the result. The point here is that the problem is moral. How do you explain that someone who raises children and works in the administration decides to vote, seeing very well what is happening and on the other hand, after voting, sits down in a cafe with you and says, "You can't live here, how can I raise children here? I will raise them outside. This is the reason that challenges any kind of rationality, that you cannot understand. It is a great mystery. Perhaps only collective psychology works here. This does not apply to everyone, but only to the extent that it produces this result that we have ," said Hasimja.
