On Saturday afternoon, footage was released as a woman tried to kidnap a 2-year-old child in a supermarket in Tirana.
Journalist Besar Bajraktaraj said this Tuesday during the "Opinion" show on TV Klan that it was only today that it became possible to identify the woman. It is about a woman in her 50s who is suspected of having mental health problems.
"This afternoon, the woman was identified. Police are not releasing her name as she was not accompanied. There is a woman who is in her 50s, she is suspected of having problems because from the communications she has had with the staff, from what they have stated that they have communicated with the lady, she has given them the impression that she has mental problems", said journalist Bajraktaraj during the interview with Blendi Fevziu.
Meanwhile, Bajraktaraj clarified that in the published video, the other woman who is dressed in black is the little girl's mother. One of the questions for the police is why it does not react. After the woman took the child, she went outside and then the three returned to the supermarket.
In the beginning, no denunciation was made by her. It was the girl's father who later reported the case to the police.
"The mother stated that she appeared with caressing words and left immediately taking the child and then returned. She stated that she looked like a person who had problems", said Bajraktaraj.
